Manta Network entered the next chapter in its development, and as a symbol of this evolution, it has introduced a new logo.

The shift in gears comes as the team focuses on the strategy and brand-building aspects of the project. Manta Network will also be bringing on more talented and experienced core contributors to help educate the Web3 space about the importance of on-chain privacy and solidify its presence as the leader on the matter.

This new chapter that involves strategy and brand building follows achieving several milestones.

Manta Network started with its priorities focused on the technology, building a unique, secure, and scalable layer-one network that preserved the privacy of all on-chain interactions within the Polkadot ecosystem.

On-chain privacy requires a decentralized, scalable, and secure solution, which Manta delivers through zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP), and for composability, it leverages the Substrate framework.

Milestones Achieved

Its technical whitepaper was submitted to the International Association of Cryptologic Research (IACR) with mathematical proofs on Manta’s privacy and security.

For scaling the project, the Manta Network founders focused on building a world-class engineering team. Today, after a year of development, their team has grown to almost 20 members, with the majority of them on the engineering side.

The technically equipped team then helped the project become the first Substrate project to demonstrate ZKP capabilities for private transacting of parachain assets. And, then soon after, they performed their first cross-chain messaging between the layer-1 smart contract platform Acala’s testnet and Manta Network.

Last September, Manta also won a parachain auction on Kusama, the calamari network of Polkadot, with help from the community. Since then, they have run several runtime upgrades to improve the infrastructure and security of the network.

The team further took steps to decentralize the project by launching governance, which gave control to the MANTA and KMA token holders who vote on governance proposals and help decide the future of the project.

Focusing Outward

Most recently, Dolphin Testnet was deployed successfully, marking the first major publicly accessible milestone for the project. With Dolphin testnet, users can try out the features that will be deployed on Manta Network and Calamari Network in the future.

The project also counts the likes of Polychain Capital, CoinFund, Alameda Research, CMS, Defiance Capital, Multicoin Capital, Parafi Capital, Divergence Capital, Zee Prime capital, LongHash, Hypersphere, and Spartan among its investors.

With the product and technical goals delivered successfully, now, as the mainnet deployment comes into view, the team is shifting into the next gear and expanding to be a more outward-facing project with a focus on marketing.

According to the Manta Network team, pushing forward into this new growth mindset needs more than just a product. As such, they are adding on more core contributors to design a strategic vision to launch this next chapter of Manta Network that involves showing the world how important Manta is for the future of Web3.
