This week, Hollywood star Eva Longoria celebrated Women’s International Day with a Twitter Spaces session via NFT platform Autograph. The actress discussed her views on Web3, gender equality, and her input as a Board Advisor for Tom Brady’s Autograph.
In addition, the artist also gave an insight into her early beginnings on the NFT market – all due to Reese Witherspoon!
Eva Longoria, a female star on the NFT scene
Recently, Eva Longoria joined the growing list of Hollywood stars tapping into NFTs. The popular actress boasts an impressive collection of digital assets – mainly from female-led projects. For example, Longoria takes pride in her World of Women PFP (Profile Picture) NFT. To celebrate International Women’s Day, she even released a real-life shirt featuring a WoW collectible!
In a Twitter Spaces held on March 8th, the actress explained her view on Web3. Accordingly, Eva Longoria strongly believes in the new industry’s huge economic potential for women:
“As we are moving into Web 3.0 and this NFT space, there are trillions of dollars to be made, created, and generated,” Eva Longoria says. We can create generational wealth and change generational status. If we just dig deep and educate ourselves on what the future looks like.”
Moreover, Longoria points out that women are now more willing to lift each other up. Popular projects such as Boss Beauties or Girl Code Club prove this theory, as they’re constantly supporting each other’s initiatives.
Working as an Autograph NFT advisor
At this moment, Eva Longoria is a member of the Board of Advisors for the NFT platform Autograph. Co-founded by Tom Brady, the brand brings sportsmen closer to their fans through NFT collectibles.
“Think about the baseball card with the piece of bubble gum back in the day, this is that but in a cooler, modern way,” the actress explains.
Currently, Eva Longoria sits on the Board of Advisors of Autograph. The star admits that her love of sports and passion for NFTs brought her to this position. Nevertheless, she admitted that she “wanted to do it to learn it” as her NFT knowledge wasn’t so extensive at the time.
Undoubtedly, the artist is now at the forefront of the female NFT market. With so many top-selling women-led projects, the Web3 industry is promoting gender equality more than ever.
