Bored Ape Yacht Club’s Discord has been hacked…again. 

And this time, one of the founders is expressing his frustration. Yuga Labs founder Gordon Goner took to Twitter to say that Discord isn’t working for Web3 communities and that it’s time to find a platform that is focused on security first. 

BAYC confirmed on Twitter that about 200 ethereum worth of NFTs were impacted. This is the third time that scammers have made off with user funds or their own BAYC NFTs. 

 Ross Mac of Maconomics broke down the implications the latest hack could have for the emerging Web3 community on the latest Crypto Minute.

They say third time’s a charm but guess what that’s the number of times the Bored Ape Yacht Club Discord has been hacked. And this time a founder is making some noise.

Gordon Goner took to Twitter to say that Discord isn’t working for web3 communities and that it’s time to find a platform that is focused on security first. BAYC confirmed on Twitter that about 200 ethereum worth of NFTs were impacted.

This is the third time that scammers have made off with user funds. The FTC has warned that, since 2021, over one billion dollars has been lost to scammers. Now, that pales in comparison to the trillion shaved off of the overall crypto market cap since crypto winter started but it shows that this is no small issue for the crypto community…
