HONG KONG, July 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Blank Slate Initiative, started by music lovers based in Hong Kong, aims to disrupt the current music ecosystem with Web3 experimentation, merging songs with visualizers into NFT products that gives out streaming royalties. It is a collective project by ARCtistry Company Limited (https://arctistry.com/blank-slate).
Their Phase One EP, THE EDGE OF DAWN, consists of three groups of singer-songwriters, producers, composers, lyricists, and visual artists, based in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Mainland China. Confronted with a blank slate, the musicians were asked to write a song in their preferred genre based on the themes of beginning, middle, and end. The visual artists then turned the song into a full visualizer.
Born from music, produced with NFT, and rewarded in royalties. THE EDGE OF DAWN consists of three tracks, each track has three copies, and in total nine NFTs. By owning the NFT product, owners will receive 5% of any future streaming royalties. A premium edition NFT that consists of all three songs, a total of 15% streaming royalties, and a behind the scenes podcast on the process and meaning of the work. Combing NFT with traditional streaming platforms, THE BLANK SLATE INITIATIVE hopes to bring more collaboration and innovation within the music industry.
THE EDGE OF DAWN EP is now minting on Opensea (https://opensea.io/blanksl3te) starting at 1ETH.
